How easy was it to get stuck into this book?
For a story titled 'Titanic' there's relatively little in the way of descriptions or information about the ocean liner. That's a bit disappointing, considering the book is set aboard the ocean liner. Instead much more detail is lavished upon the characters.
Who are the main characters?
There's Elizabeth Farr, who's really spoilt; Max Whittaker who's travelling in first class too; Kathleen Mahoney - a third-class passenger. There's also Brian and Patrick, who don't play a very big part.
What's the storyline?
Set on the doomed ocean liner, the story focuses on a group of friends on the ship. They are are all from different backgrounds and travelling in different classes - and the book is mainly about their relationships and about the sinking of the ship.
How's it written?
There's not very much about the ship - it's mainly about the people, which can get a bit boring.
