Quick Pick
- 10 September 2010 -

This book is the story of Donata, a young girl of noble blood living in 16th century Venice. It's quite interesting and also quite historically accurate. It follows Donata as she tries to make a good future for herself and her sisters, and try to make sure that they aren't sent off to a convent where they will stay forever. Quite a refreshing read and also one which makes you think about what things were like in the past. The book has a serious side, but is also quite an enjoyable read. All but the youngest cool-readers should be able to enjoy it.
